So many of our Hope Raisers spend countless hours helping others through the storms of life but this time an unimaginable storm has hit one of our own.
Founding Hope Raiser, Megan Hill, met Terrance just a month before he was diagnosed with cancer in 2009. Facing an uphill battle that lasted almost 7 years, the two married on June 15, 2013 while preparing to navigate a surely difficult journey. On the 24th of February, the battle was finally ended and Megan’s SUPERMAN gained his angel wings.. Terrance passed away not two weeks after his 41st birthday.
While most newlyweds spend a honeymoon on a beach somewhere, the Hills spent a 3 year honeymoon in countless hospital beds. Always by his side…Megan sat by her Superman’s side as he fought through the storm.
When I created this shirt months ago, Terrance was the first person I thought of and as I wrote the words on the back, I reflected on the various stages of trials the Hills had been through. Now this shirt will be an item to honor the legacy and life of a fighter who believed that everyone he met, no matter how brief, was family.
Last week I asked him what his greatest accomplishment was. His response: “My Wife”. For the next month, all proceeds from this shirt will go to his greatest accomplishment to help as she begins to put the pieces back together again.
For more information on their journey or to make a direct donation, please visit their GoFundMe Page. We will send a memorial photo with each shirt.
